We work with excellent in-house caterers who regularly deliver varied and specialist menus for a wide range of events. However, we appreciate you may want something else so subject to providing the necessary food standards certificates, we will work with another team of your choice.
Yes, we can. Just give us a reasonable advance warning of any food allergies or special requests and we’ll deliver a great menu for you.
Ten delegates is the minimum for many of our conference packages but if you have less than that, we’ll create a bespoke package for you.
We can hold a provisional date for you for seven days with no obligation. This will give you time to call your suppliers and make sure that they’re also available.
We requires the return of a signed copy of the contract and terms and conditions as well as a non-refundable deposit. You can confirm any time within the provisional period, or without a provisional booking.
Yes. We are an approved venue for civil ceremonies. Gilwell Park offers a wide range of licenced rooms to choose from, including the elegant White House to the unique outside Gidney Cabin.
We’ll invoice you for the remaining balance four weeks prior to your wedding, with any remaining balance paid on your departure the day after your wedding.
It’s your wedding day so it’s up to you but here is a useful guide of timings if your evening party starts at 7.30pm.

Yes, we are very happy for you to decorate the rooms with balloons, flowers and table arrangements.
It’s a wedding - of course, but please ask your guests to use biodegradable confetti and no confetti bombs to ensure the safety of all our guests.

There is a corkage charge if you want to bring your own wine, so just give us a call to discuss.
We have our own onsite caterers who cater for lots of large and varied events. But if you want to bring your own, just give us a call and we will work with you, and them, to make sure everything goes smoothly
We provide free parking for all our guests, so whether you arrive in a coach, a stretch limo or a horse and carriage, we’ll find you a space.
Standard finishing time is 12.00am (midnight) for the bar and for music.
Gilwell Park has 40 onsite bedrooms, 35 en-suite. The bridal suite is complimentary for your wedding night. All rooms include internet access, a colour TV, power showers, tea and coffee making facilities and a Full English or Continental breakfast.
Gilwell Park is a fully licensed venue with its own bar. Prices on the bar are kept in line with pub prices rather than hotel prices, so there shouldn’t be any need to supply your own bar.

The capacity for a seated meal in the largest space we have, the main hall, is 180 guests using round tables. Evening capacity in the same area, is up to 250.
We guarantee access to the main hall from 10.00am so you can start getting ready. If there isn’t a wedding the day before, then you’re welcome to arrive earlier. Your suppliers, such as caterers and florists, are welcome to start setting up from this time. You’ll also be able to access the hall on the morning of your wedding in order to set up your tables with favours and name cards, and to place table plans and decorations. We’re very happy for you to decorate the rooms with balloons and flowers too.
