Important update. Gilwell Park venue closure announcement.
The event, conference and hotel facilities on the Gilwell Park estate exists to provide a financial contribution to The Scouts and enable the work of the movement in giving young people Skills for Life. Due to the huge financial impact COVID-19 has had on Gilwell Park, the business is no longer viable and we’ve been forced to make the difficult decision to close the venue. There will no longer be any weddings and private events, conferencing or hotel stays at Gilwell Park.
The team have been working relentlessly behind the scenes to ensure all guests are contacted, either by phone or email and are refunded in reasonable time. If you have any specific questions or haven't yet been contacted about a booking or hotel stay, the quickest way to get in touch is by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Everyone at Gilwell Park is sorry to see the venue closing. Looking ahead, the site will continue to be used for helping young people from across the UK and around the world develop skills they can use for the rest of their lives.

Thank you so much for all your help and advice in the run up to our big day. A huge thank you to Christine and all the staff who were there on the day and helped things run so smoothly and effortlessly. Our guests had nothing but praise for all the staff. Especially my Dad who nipped out part way through our meal to thank Christine and leave a huge tip for all the staff!! The staff on the day helped the wedding and reception run perfectly. From setting up the Swan centre to bringing our drinks reception outside as the sun came out. We especially want to thank the serving staff and bar staff from the day who worked really hard serving our food, keeping our water jugs topped up and generally looking after Colin and I as well as all our guests. We have received great feedback on the food. Guests thought the lamb shank was delicious and were really impressed with the quality and presentation. The same was said for our evening buffet. Thank you to all the chefs and catering staff. We appreciated all your efforts.

Giwell Park is a peice of paradise when the weather is beautiful. It is spacious, lovely, part of nature, and very warm. The architecture is fabulous and the landscape is stunning. The staff were sweet and supportive. The ambiance is great and inspirational. It is a great site for rewarding experience.
Always a pleasant stay, rooms are comfortable as clean, breakfast is very good, special thanks to Emma at reception very kind and helpful when checking in and Stephenie at breakfast very pleasant lady always smiling and polite nothing is to much, will be back soon

Very nice situation, the box hedges are looking good and the raised beds with Spring bulbs are nice and bright. This looks a very nice place for a wedding or other special celebration as it has pleasant grounds for your memories and photo album. Good selection for breakfast, your choice little or large.
